We stayed in the colonial deluxe room. Beds were extremely comfortable, our airconditioner was a little noisey, but other wise hotel was lovely and people were very helpful.
Magnificent hotel, recently restored to former glory with some obvious compromises. The swimming pool has been added inside the building and it is necessarily small. The lifts are very small. Most disappointing is however the quality of food. Especially the barbecue on the roof terrace is simply not worth the money. The breakfast buffet is rushed and the staff often ill trained. Slow internet. The air conditioner in our room was very noisy.
My wife and I particularly enjoyed the “riverside” benefits of the Majestic….rooftop buffet breakfast, afternoon refreshment at another rooftop restaurant and a great river view from our room. Small pool area was extremely pleasant. Historical flavor added to the experience.
On check in we were greeted by a little Vietnamese lady, Fleur, who showed us to our room and explained the hotel facilities. She was just lovely and a great asset to the hotel. Fantastic buffet breakfast – get in really early for a seat with views over the Saigon River. The balcony in the river view rooms are perfect for watching the cyclos and other Saigon life without being hassled. We really enjoyed our stay here.
