My husband and I have been going to Egypt now for over 15 years and have stayed at the Sheraton before, but have eaten in the hotel many many times (due to the fact that we lived in Cairo between 1994 and 1998).. The staff are helpful and courteous and we shall be going back there again later this year.
Excellent range of restaurants and leisure facilities, hotel very well presented for a 5* hotel but just a little wear and tear evident. Overall a good 5* hotel in superb location and with great facilities.
Excellent restaurants and fitness facilities. The nile waterfront restaurant called Bondoka is amazing with modern setting, music and beautiful view of the nile. Indoor restaurants are good for those who prefer air conditioning (not us). The gym is the best I’ve seen in a hotel. We will definitely return very soon.
If you wish to sleep in Cairo and you are sensitive to noise, avoid this hotel. The noise surrounding the hotel is incredible.
the bathroom needed to be retilled. the staff are friendly.
The hotel does not offer any shuttle service to the airport and their limousine service is over priced (it was twice as expensive as the limousine we got from the airport to the hotel). The rooms were fine but nothing exceptionnal. Breakfast is good and the restaurants in the hotel offer a nice variety of food. Overall, the Sheraton was OK but not wow.
Great hotel, brilliant service. Room was big and clean and comfy beds! Highly recommend.
I had a pleasant stay in this hotel. But just for ur info there are two buillding in this hotel one is Cleopatra that is too old building with bad rooms. The other is Nefertiti that is new Extension & the room was so clean and nice in this extension. So I recommend u to select (nevertiti building) for ur next time reservation.
Facilities are very very old. Restaurants(Itarian and Japanese) are very poor quality.
I have stayed 3-days, and I changed my room 3-times due to street noises and constructions in the 13th,14th,and 15th floors.
the rooms are ok but the bathrooms are original…it is not 5 star accom. there is not much around the area and feel that others hotels may be better located..although it is easy to grab a cab and they are cheap …breakfast is fine but do not pay 5 star rates
Facilities are very old. Quality of Restaurants are not really worth to pay.
surprisingly good. other side of nile river but still convenient.
service ok for Cairo – just don’t expect much.
room and bed comfortable.
good lebanese restaurant ion hotel.
This hotel is clearly not a 5 star hotel(horrible). If at all possible do not stay in the cleopatra tower, as the rooms smell, and bathroom and shower are simply aweful. On arrival i was given a twin bed room despite clearly booking a double room, and would not have been given a double room if i did not make a fuss. Breakfast was average along with the location. Clearly there must be a better hotel for the amount you pay for this hotel. more like 2/3 star hotel.
Location of the Hotel is not the best one in Cairo for a tourism travel, no way to reach the Cairo Museum walking and it is very far from the Gizah Pyramids. Price of Restaurants is excesive. It is really beautiful and clean, as a five stars hotel must be, but the breakfast buffet was not as good as expected.
